In Daoist traditions, there are five main forms of giving that produce merit and virtue, culminating in acquiring good fortune in this life and the next:
  • The first is the restoration and building of temples.
  • The second is the printing of spiritual scriptures for distribution.
  • The third is the giving of money to support the temple.
  • The fourth is the giving of personal services for maintaining the temple.
  • The fifth is the giving of food.

NOTICE TO CONTRIBUTORS

The Sanctuary of Dao, Inc. was incorporated under the laws of the State of Arizona on July 23, 2010, as an Arizona Non-Profit Corporation. Our application for tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code is being submitted and we do expect timely approval of our application. Official recognition of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, when approved, is retroactive to the date of incorporation.

Because our application for tax exempt status has not yet been approved, contributions made at this time are not currently tax deductible. However, contributions made after the date of incorporation, July 23, 2010, but before the IRS approves our application, will become deductible, retroactively, once the application process is completed and our tax exempt status is approved. We will promptly mail our contributors notification of our 501(c)(3) status approval when granted.

We sincerely appreciate the support of all our contributors.
